Volkswagen has recalled 1799 examples of its 2021 Polo and T-Cross models due to a software issue with the seatbelt warning system.
“Due to a software fault, the visual and acoustic seat belt warning system may not operate as intended,” the recall notice says.
“If the driver is not made aware of an unfastened seatbelt, there is an increased risk of injury or death if the vehicle is involved in an accident.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you can contact your preferred Volkswagen dealership to have the work carried out free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Volkswagen on 1800 504 076.
